Those of us alive in the 2020s share an extinction responsibility - saving our human race.

Exercise - as a fileldbook to chnaging the world so that its younger half are the first sustaimability generation, we will be asking you to clarify your own purpse of frameworks, maps and games.

Rought=ly speaking the difference beween these 3 ways of viewing human relationship around motherb earth is

Framework is issued by an oficial organsation. It basically decalares from now on we will use a specified list of themes in the rules we make and in our interactions with professions and other offcial organsaitions. The main framework this bookn looks at was issued by the United Nations in 2017. It has 17 themes which it calls Sustainbility Development Gpoals. When declared in 2015, the UN asked nations and so places and peoples to Unite around applying these themes. A deadline of 2030 was set for all of our 8 billion lives to graviate around so as to maximise our species chaces of survival. The UN had been formed in 1945, when world war 2 and nuclear bombs made preventing extinction its worldiwde and local purpose. So if any formal institution can mediate extinction, we should all seek to either speak sdgs or demand those we elect to repersnt us do so. There are a lot of questions about frameworks - noy least  whether they are updataeable in a fast changing world. For the moment note we can say the same thing about languages or faith systes we may use to discover or apply meaning to how our lives and families and places develop

A map serves everyone who uses it. When connected to a framweork its actionaility is integral. It is the mapwe the peoples are going to apply both to our behaviours and how we think and learn. We cam think of a map as the simplest test of whetehr a system works. Tahe a large city with an underground. The map depends on wheter in real time its gets its users from a to b safely. It is interconnecetd with real life mapping above ground. But if you have seen the first ever maps of undergroiund in London, they have a miraculous quality. Eben though London has chnaged completly in 170 tears and hundres of more stations and multiple lines have been added the most central map is little changed. Its about 8 foot long by one foot high so that it can be dispayed typically above 3 seats in a carraige. Geogpraphically outside its very approximate; in side the system it keeps you making alkl theoptimal connectuons real time

Games in the sense this book composes are ways educatirsm stuenst and all of us can innocvte both our minds development and potentailly valuable ways to interact with framworks and maps. They may have prizes so as to celebrate human advancement during a particular time period - that could be a school year or a subdeadline of a framework. Thye may also be the mosyt effective viral way of connecting innovation heroines and heroes we all need when faced with such cr=ritical chalenges as moving beyond extinction

Map 9 interconnecting routes to move the Un into the middle of the digital world determing 21st C generations' possibilities. IF UN2 roadmapping is successful there are related oportuntioes for gov2.0 of every nation, indeed every place goverenment. Seee eg the UN rankings of gov2.0 at level of nations

A users map of 8 communicatiosn ears the wprld has gone through from the old world discovering the new world to the web3 we live in by 2030 This map is a way of looking at future histiry which connectes the great innovation chalenge of going digotal as the mid 20th c Goats of maps saw human possibilities for develoment. Key qiestion wht goods will peopels unite around if accessing 100 times more tech every decade. While it is reasonable to ask whether this map is optimal for its interactions with the UN's official frame and map, its the nearest way we can see to how hostory shapes futures in ways thay Scots have been questioing since the middle of teh 18th centiry when Adam Smith wrote 2 extrordinary daries- the last attempt to describe marjets humans tradedd through before engines, and the first 16 yera view of how engines could chnage plaves and peopels and links between new and old worlds.

In this book we are tlaking about learing games where the pakyers themselve innovate the rules to satay educatuionally ahead in designing the future. Of course this is artisticakly and cratively different from egs ports where a gials are defined by training you body or teams of bodies to score within an identivcally structured environemnet wherever the gae is played. Ironically the 2nd tele gae which defined human advancement form the birth of the UN has turned these soectair games into ways people can become world famous overnight. We make the plea that the younger falf of the world  (and everyone in education roles )now need as many heroines and heroes

survey 1of child centric education

IF SCHOOLS were child centric they would make age relevant interventions:

if anyone is illiterate at age 6 it only takes 90 days to change that - best of all a literate kid can be main helper in 20 minute session - see sunita gandhi

finacial literacy would be practicsed from age 8 - see aflatoun ( works in 100 countries

from age 10 pre-teens would have access to pfysical and mental health studies designed peer to peer -see Lancet

no kid would leave primary school without knowing how open space meetings/teamwork is facilitated

teachers would be celebrated for clarifying which skills involve experiential learning not classroom examination - while there is some recognition that music and sports involve practice, its shocking that coding isnt valued this way ..

in 1984our book with economist editors 2025report made the case for 40 year commitment to every child identifying own skils dashboard and maximising AI curation of this- we valued this as sustainability critical worldwide cooperation - we see no logic for changing this concern

TECH - What is IT? and which exponential multipliers most impact human and natural futures?

AI   >. silicon chip singularity (ie when one chip > one brain in pure analytical capacity) - science fictiion no moore

who programs the ai - the race to include lost voices eg girls- the world of statistics re=-examined like never before (eg previously mass statistics very weak at coding meaining from numbers)

Biotech  >> Affective science (loveq and emotional intelligence remains human's unique edge over artificials for at least 10 more years!)

Some people say that Virtual or Augmented Reality has advanced at its best so far in last 12 months that there are hardly any qualified teachers only pioneering explorers- does this matter - well its VR which is your gateway to web3 - intead of just a mobile device you will like wear  a visual sensor system; equally others argue that you shouldnt worry about how fast you put googles on - what you should want is to take back ownbership of what you spend time creating virually- look at the small print of the big platforms you probably dont own anything without them..maybe this is a generation issue bu interstingly the met-generation can now work on chnaging anything that old systems are destroying (eg climate) ...t 

 IOT which things will now have brains and be as mobile connected as you are

Cyber >> Drone - opportunities and threats of public spaces- first in spaces like the arctic circle if we dont use drones we will get no warning before the big meltdown

-the mkist memorable western campus event i attended in 2010s was tufts colllaboratory summit convened mainly by arctic circle youth under 25; 

one of the main debates how to help teachers in arctic circle schools empower their students to use virtual reality to visit other arctic circles schools communities; many of the changes and solutions are analogous; I am reminded by educators leading the compilation of virtual realty libraries of the DICE acronym - a reen might want to do something dangerous like climb everest, why not VR simulate that? there are impossible things a trainee doctor will never be able to travel inside a humans gut but that can be VR'd; there are catastropghic simulations - you would rid the world of bees just to test if donald is wrong about nature being more powerful than he is, you can simulate it; or the future of smart tourism may be curation of what a community is proudest of being visited for - this way ecotourism, cultural appreciation exchanges can be twinned to maximise celebration of each other- and by the way friends of the tourist can join in virtually- of corse this raises a metaverse question - that Hong Kong is leading the world on

being 100% public - good and bad hacs- note context matters - context 1 smart city context 2 isolated vilalge no moore context 3 make a huge land safe at borders
