The millennial goal races to end poverty , celebrate local food security and nutrition, sustain the planet, blend world citizen and global village win-wins depend on how economics designs next billion agricultural jobs

here's part of our 2014 quarter 3 dialogue ahead of a hectic 2 week millennials golas' network of summits in new yok last week of september and the world bank youth summit octpber 7- the  young africa society has already convened their summit during obama's investors week by and for africa- its report on the futire of jobs clarifies how critical good agricultural jobs will be to peaceful, sustainable and entrepreneurial africa

Tebabu (CCTV)   can I rehearse a line of thinking before Meskela's visit to DC on behalf of hundreds of thousands of ethiopian small farmers of Aromia grassroots network
I think we all need to ask you to ask him one question first- does he have a list of bottom-up coop organisers who are as motivated and connected as he is in different countries and crops
If he does have that list then the blessed "virtuous exchange value chain remodelling" question is which of those crops either have a social value- no crop has more simple community building value than coffee's cafe or a health value which is either underknown (firstly by a targetable niche of us opinion leaders) or processed out by the big producers
the puddle and kiva and student patient capital question in usa is: in developing the import market among us customers is there a franchise that you can say to community regenerating youth or women  borrow 500 dollars and you get these permissions and this product stock and if you make the most of that social and financially you can double up with puddle loan and franchise permission (whats also called the ladder concept of microcredit that jamii bora built orphan banking around)
the digital flow question is : can some combination of nanocredit, telecentres, grameen-intel  EAGRI etc be pivotal to linking in your most trusted associates the 100 million bottom-up agri-producers multinational; paul polak asks a different question - what will be the top 20 bottom up multinationals serving 100 million customers form bottom of pyramid but actually the open and mobile technologies naila links can be exciting small business to business producer techs
the banking and currency question is- why dont you have your own agricultural and cashless bank given the  sustained intergenerational increase in productivity of the livelihoods of the families you represent is what your trust is all about - and this is the only dynamic capital , currency and safe banking can ever be exponentially designed around
the yazmi, media labs, nearly free uni and open learning architect's question which also connects with questions sir fazle abed and taddy blecher can uniquely design open learning campuses around  is what or who do youth from eg meskela families need to know so they are in the middle of agriculture's next billion jobs or as millennials designing their nation's sustainability so that rural and city win-win from the rural viewpoint; also all of these questions are ones young professionals need the new open society bottom-up system maps of -what sometimes I think sir fazle abed has a unique competence for as the only poverty alleviation networker to have graduated in engineering, architecture and chartered accountancy
the infastructure (roads and other public commons questions) which pape's networks know about is how do you design these to end poverty not just to make the biggest bigger -ending poverty and inequality while still sustaining intergenerational growth of your nation
there's a parallel energy/waste question which eg sainsbury family in london is teaming up with infosys leader nilekani on
I am sure there are under 35s and women and opentech empowerment people brighter than me in morphing and blending these partnership questions to more accurately represent such open tech gamechangers as what bottom-up telecentre, kiva-puddle, grameen-intel, other micro-processes can empower
BUT AM I CORRECT the first question is a mapping one:  how many analagous networks to  Aromia-coop exist and which leaders of these does Meskela know?

we should never forget that good news in agriculture is the most cheering news in the world- this chart from my father's 1977 survey in The Economist supported his survey of China as the growth nation that all millennials need to celebrate in collkaborating with any win-wins they can search out

x This week carries an interesting update on Grameen Intel's goal of helping Cambodia become the next rice basket to the world

where do you search for news that links sustainability, ending rural poverty, nutrition and crop productivity?

i would love to hear your views -

i'm no expert but historically I search alumni out Borlaug and Nippon Institute, I trust good news from BRAC, Grameen Intel and IFAD; I listen to diaspora networks (such as those hunted out by and young professionals on Jim Kim's 2030now mission

Grameen-YukiGuniMaitake Social Business is a joint venture between Grameen Krishi Foundation, Bangladesh, YukiGuni Maitake Ltd, Japan and Kyushu University, Japan with further support from Japan's JICA and JETRO. The aim of this venture is high quality mung bean and export them to Japan, generate extra income for the farmers, promote long term friendship with Japan in terms of agriculture. Launched with 8000 Bangladeshi farmers- expected to scale to far more once systems have been fine tuned

A second crop is expected to be a kind of Sprout Japanese value most for nutrition, Currently Japan imports these sorts of highly nutritious vegetables from China and a little from Myanmar- why not Bangladesh too? more at

how many markets has brac designed in bangaldesh to sustain miaximum number of livelihoods as well as great customer service - linkedin debate
Don't you just love economics and media?

freeing poultry market. Sir Fazle ABED observed that a 1970s Bangladeshi villager couldnt earn a living with the number of eggs the scrawny village chicken used to lay. So BRAC bred a super chicken that lays many times more eggs. But because it does more work the superchicken needs vet attention. Count up the 5 job descriptions that redesign the value chain of the whole poultry market in bangladesh:
breeding superchicks
vetting superchicks
villagers laying eggs with superchicks
now that villages have surplus eggs retaining them to cities
producing chicken feed from land not able to support human crops

BRAC is Bangladesh's leader of poultry market. It cooperatively frees the market not by taking profit from the village workers every quarter but my maximising income generation across all 5 microfranchise jobs described above. That's employment for over 100000 previously-poorest people that the "chicken microfinance plus bank "mediates and economically sustains. A microcurrency of a bank that is increasing productivity of all ist members sustainably provides a model of safest banking in the world that brac shares with association of like-minded bank leaders

survey 1of child centric education

My dream: everyone experiences Harrison Owen OpenSpace After%20the%20Rage.pdf

IF SCHOOLS were child centric they would make age relevant interventions:

if anyone is illiterate at age 6 it only takes 90 days to change that - best of all a literate kid can be main helper in 20 minute session - see sunita gandhi

finacial literacy would be practicsed from age 8 - see aflatoun ( works in 100 countries

from age 10 pre-teens would have access to pfysical and mental health studies designed peer to peer -see Lancet

no kid would leave primary school without knowing how open space meetings/teamwork is facilitated

teachers would be celebrated for clarifying which skills involve experiential learning not classroom examination - while there is some recognition that music and sports involve practice, its shocking that coding isnt valued this way ..

Do you have life-changing moment to share? - what was it and what did you think or do differently after it?

example until 9/11, i assumed that (good) futures are happening somewhere in the world and would be searched out so that all could communally replicate them;  === 9/11 caused me to question whether global connectivity will give us time to find sustainable solutions for our kids- i became particulaly interested in places where good education leaps appeared but did not get app'd the world over - one example actually goes back to my favorite 1990s advances in schools that a small cliuster of new zealand schools pioneered - download it here

i welcome discussion of this book's parts at any time rsvp if you have a solution every community that develops youth could be cooperational

in 1984our book with economist editors 2025report made the case for 40 year commitment to every child identifying own skils dashboard and maximising AI curation of this- we valued this as sustainability critical worldwide cooperation - we see no logic for changing this concern

== we live in an age where most up to half of knowhow of techforgood changes every 3 years - we needed mindsets for exploration not for being standard examined; a nation that makes its college students its largest debt class is likely to collapse economically socially environmentally if web3 is designed for celebrating sustainability cooperation; and if web3 is not designed for neough yout to linkin the first sustainability generation then we are all heading the way of the dodo

I am learn to learn

TECH - What is IT? and which exponential multipliers most impact human and natural futures?

AI   >. silicon chip singularity (ie when one chip > one brain in pure analytical capacity) - science fictiion no moore

who programs the ai - the race to include lost voices eg girls- the world of statistics re=-examined like never before (eg previously mass statistics very weak at coding meaining from numbers)

Biotech  >> Affective science (loveq and emotional intelligence remains human's unique edge over artificials for at least 10 more years!)

Some people say that Virtual or Augmented Reality has advanced at its best so far in last 12 months that there are hardly any qualified teachers only pioneering explorers- does this matter - well its VR which is your gateway to web3 - intead of just a mobile device you will like wear  a visual sensor system; equally others argue that you shouldnt worry about how fast you put googles on - what you should want is to take back ownbership of what you spend time creating virually- look at the small print of the big platforms you probably dont own anything without them..maybe this is a generation issue bu interstingly the met-generation can now work on chnaging anything that old systems are destroying (eg climate) ...t

IOT which things will now have brains and be as mobile connected as you are

Crypto - can communities celebrate financiang their own most urgent sustainability cooperations? if they dont who wil?

Cyber >> Drone - opportunities and threats of public spaces- first in spaces like the arctic circle if we dont use drones we will get no warning before the big meltdown

-the mkist memorable western campus event i attended in 2010s was tufts colllaboratory summit convened mainly by arctic circle youth under 25;

one of the main debates how to help teachers in arctic circle schools empower their students to use virtual reality to visit other arctic circles schools communities; many of the changes and solutions are analogous; I am reminded by educators leading the compilation of virtual realty libraries of the DICE acronym - a reen might want to do something dangerous like climb everest, why not VR simulate that? there are impossible things a trainee doctor will never be able to travel inside a humans gut but that can be VR'd; there are catastropghic simulations - you would rid the world of bees just to test if donald is wrong about nature being more powerful than he is, you can simulate it; or the future of smart tourism may be curation of what a community is proudest of being visited for - this way ecotourism, cultural appreciation exchanges can be twinned to maximise celebration of each other- and by the way friends of the tourist can join in virtually- of corse this raises a metaverse question - that Hong Kong is leading the world on

being 100% public - good and bad hacs- note context matters - context 1 smart city context 2 isolated vilalge no moore context 3 make a huge land safe at borders

3D printing aka additive engineering
